The municipality had tried several times in a row to tap into funding programs until Kriebstein was finally awarded the contract in 2021.Criticisms were always that there was not enough toilet and sink.The potties were in the crèche children's bedroom, which is not allowed.Furthermore, there was no break room available for the teachers.There was also no room for meetings with parents.But there were also structural defects that have now been eliminated.The electrical installation was renewed.Heat pump heating has been installed and there is underfloor heating throughout.Now a total of 44 children can visit the facility instead of the previous 38."And we can also look after integrative children," says daycare manager Heike Nitschke.The expansion of the day care center in Grünlichtenberg is currently Kriebstein's largest construction project.How does the implementation work?For the fifth time, the municipality has applied for funding for the extension of the day care center in Grünlichtenberg.Will it work this time?On August 1st, almost exactly one year to the day after moving out, the girls and boys will move from their transitional domicile – the container daycare center in the parking lot of the primary school – back to their new field mouse house.In September there will be an open house for anyone who is interested.
